The day begins with a Morning Circle, where the teacher introduces the theme of the day: "Eating a Rainbow."
The children discuss their favorite colors and what colorful foods they enjoy.
In the art corner, children create rainbow-themed artwork using colored craft supplies.This activity reinforces the concept of colors while allowing creativity to flourish. For their mid-morning snack, children are served colorful veggie sticks (carrots, cucumbers, and bell peppers) with a yogurt-based rainbow dip.
The teacher discusses how vegetables help us grow strong and healthy. A day of rainbow eating in kindergarten not only teaches children about the importance of eating a variety of colorful foods but also makes learning about nutrition fun and engaging.
