Building a STEM Skyscraper Out of Toothpicks and Marshmallows
At Children's Emporium Pre-School, they did a fun STEM activity! They learned about giant buildings created by people such as skyscrapers and discussed how such buildings need to be built in certain ways in order to NOT topple over. After discussing the importance of a solid design, the kids made their own skyscrapers by using toothpicks and marshmallows!
Materials needed for this craft
To do this skyscraper craft you need the following items:
*Toothpicks
*Marshmallows
*A flat table
How to build your skyscraper
To build your skyscraper follow these steps:
1. Take your toothpicks and stick them in the marshmallows.
2. As you put toothpicks in the marshmallows figure out a design that works for you to build a skyscraper.
3. Once your skyscraper is built show it off!
