Celebrating Valentine's Day With Hearts
Valentine's Day is today and earlier in the week at Primrose School of Overland Park, they prepared for this special day! They did some activities with construction paper hearts that the children greatly enjoyed.
Gifting hearts
The children shared construction paper hearts with each other while telling everyone why they liked their friend. It was a good activity to work on recognizing the positive attributes of others and stating them. Being kind to our friends is a good social skill to have!
Sorting hearts
The students also put differently sized construction paper hearts in order from smallest to largest. This was a fun sorting activity that relied upon both motor skills and visual recognition abilities. All the activities with hearts were such great fun!
