Coloring our own butterfly with different colors
Here were coloring butterfly with brushes and colors. This activity can promote hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Children love butterfly and they love making butterflies out of their favorite colors. Children had great fun choosing different colors and put colors in different sections. Children also learned how to pick colors that compliment each other. We encouraged children to mix two different colors, such as white and red, and children were so surprised that white plus red could make pink color. Children also need to be cautious when blending water into the paint, because if they got too much water, the paper would be too damp. However, if there were not enough water, the color was not vivid as they expected. So we encouraged children to think before they do, and make decisions cautiously. Children enjoyed the activity and asked to color other animals next time.
