Community Helpers Week in Our Pre-Kindergarten Class

In our Pre-Kindergarten class we learned all about community helpers.

Community Helpers Week

On Monday we talked about what we want to be when we grow up and introduced some of the community helpers. During art, we made community helper hats.

On Tuesday we talked about firefighters and what they do to help our community. We painted fires with our hands and also read books about firefighters.

On Wednesday we learned about teachers and construction workers, and why they are so important in our community.

We had fun making Popsicle houses, and we read a book about how to build a house.

Thursday we learned all about doctors. We discussed how they help our community, what jobs they do, and about the different types of doctors that help us. We made X-Rays using our hand prints and Q-tips!

To wrap up community helpers on Friday, we learned about mail carriers and what they do. We pretended to write letters and put them in our pretend mailbox.

We had a lot of fun this week especially dressing up to show what we want to be when we grow up.
