Doing A School Food Drive

At Kiddie Academy of Mount Prospect, the school did a food drive! A food drive is when people donate canned goods and other nonperishable items that are given to those who are at risk of food insecurity. By having students and their families gather items to donate they can learn about the importance of helping others who may be less fortunate.

Gathering food for others!

At Kiddie Academy of Mount Prospect, they donated to their local food pantry, Self Help Closet and Food Pantry. Everyone was happy to donate goods for the food drive, and the classroom even decorated the food drive's container that held all the donated goods! In the spirit of Thanksgiving, the bin was decorated to look like a big turkey. It was given eyes, a beak, and beautifully colorful feathers. The decorations made it easy to spot the turkey and know where to put donations!
