Brighten Academy Preschool in Clovis, California did a number of easy Halloween crafts with their students which then were used as decorations.
The general theme was how the classrooms were turned into a big pumpkin patch this week for all their Halloween crafts. Everyone had a, “Spooktacular,” time creating their crafts and they gave all the decor a nice personal touch.
“Bootastic,” Decorations Made Out of Crafts
Ghosts and Frankenstein monsters that students had created looked incredible on the bulletin board where they perfectly went with the shadow of a big and scary haunted house.
Pumpkins were also a popular craft, with one classroom decorating their own craft-paper pumpkins to fit the theme of the classic, “Peanuts,” Cartoon about the mythological, “Great Pumpkin.”
Then, one other class decorated their own Halloween-themed socks and then had them hung-up so that people would know when it was time for trick or treat they had better be prepared with candy or they might be told, “Smell our feet!”
Besides the decorations made out of crafts, there were plenty of other craft activities everyone had a great time creating!
Skeletons were glued-together with an assortment of bones, Jack O’ Lanterns were created out of the letter J, spooky witch-feet and adorable black cats were made out of a bunch of carefully-cut construction paper, and smiling pumpkins were designed as well!
In addition, fun crafts involving hand-prints were done such as spiders and ghosts made out of little hands and lots of colorful paint. The parts of pumpkins were identified and monsters were concocted out of crepe paper as well–there is just so many incredible crafts that were done because Halloween inspires so much creativity!
It was a wonderful week at the Brighten Academy Preschool as it became a, “Pumpkin Patch,” for this delightful Halloween week, and everyone got to make something neat!
