Our Pre-K class was all about fire safety this past week.
We learned what you have to do if there is a fire and what happens if there is a fire. We also learned that there are different types of fires and what causes fires. We enjoyed learning that some firefighters have companions called Dalmatians and what their jobs are at the firehouse!
Our class learned about an emergency escape plan and what you do to get out of a fire. For homework we had to write our own escape plan and we shared them in class on Friday. We also learned how to put out a fire if your clothes catch on fire and to do Stop, Drop and Roll.
During our active week, we worked on beginning sounds, writing and tracing numbers. This coming week we have a special visitor coming from the fire department with the fire truck!
