Growing Plants in the Classroom

At Kiddieland Early Learning Center they learned all about how plants are grown and then grew some in their class by the windowsill!

Learning about plants and then helping them grow

The kiddos learned how plants absorb nutrients from the soil and with water and sunshine they engage in a process called photosynthesis. After learning about this the kids helped plant seeds in some soil and then spent the next number of weeks watering the plants and having them sit on the windowsill where the sun shined in. Thanks to being watered and getting sun the plants have grown very well and the class has loved seeing them get bigger!
