Halloween Theme - Counting Activity

This counting activity with the theme of Halloween is great for preschoolers and kindergarten. It is important that the students will be able to have fun while learning; but before we proceed with this activity, we sang a number song for their warm-up. Since it was Halloween week for us, I have prepared pumpkin mats with the corresponding number printed in an A4 paper and real pumpkin seeds. You can change the number on the pumpkin, depending on the level of difficulty or the number you are focused on with your preschoolers. The students have to match the number of seeds to the number shown on the pumpkin mat. For example, the pumpkin mat shows the number 5, the students will have to count and place 5 pumpkin seeds. The students enjoyed doing this activity and at the same time, they were able to practice their counting skills and number recognition.
