How to start a day

I will start the class by doing our emotion chart every day. By asking them to choose the picture which describes their feeling today the best on the chart, we get to know how they feel today, and what they need to do to get in a better mood.

In the next step, we will go through our days of the week chart. Let kids read after the teacher, counting Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Then tell the class which day is his/her favorite.

After they finish all those, we will read the alphabet. All students will read from A-Z at least twice.

Right after that is our sight words reading time. we have 100 sight words reading sheets, and the 200 words one too.

Students will take a turn reading the sight words, and it usually takes about 10 minutes. After that, we will take a quick break and come back for some math activities.

Thanks for letting me share here.
