Incorporating Tech into the classroom, enriches the learning environment

My class of 3 year olds love dramatic play; from a market, to doctors, and dentist. We recently were working on our letter x and wanted to see an explorer in action. I found a way to incorporate Dora the Explorer and a movie day experience into one. Our experiences started with preparing our movie theater with signs, refreshments, places to sit and more. All the children decorated their own movie ticket, gave it to the ticket booth (my co-teacher) and entered the theater. Later they helped make the popcorn and see it change into popcorn, using an air popper. The kids were able to select their own snacks from the refreshment stand with my help, and sat to enjoy their movie. This experience worked on taking turns, following directions, using manners, being kind towards others.

If you ever have a chance to have a movie day with your preschool class, this is the way to do it. Bring in fun, education, and cooperation.
