Learning About Handwashing Activity

At AppleTree Early Care and Preschool they learned about how important it is to wash your hands with a fun activity that was educational and enjoyable! They had paint represent germs and washed it off to show why it is important to keep our hands clean.

Materials needed for the handwashing activity

To do this activity you will need:

• Washable paint--a bright color of tempera works well
• Plastic gloves
• A sink with soap and water

How to do the handwashing activity

To do this handwashing activity follow these steps:

1. Put on the plastic gloves.
2. Squirt paint on your gloves, the paint represents germs.
3. Got to the sink and use soap and water to wash the paint off, this is like how you wash germs off your hands!
4. Take the gloves off and dispose of them properly.
