Making Creepy Carrots Out of Construction Paper
"Creepy Carrots," is a popular children's book and at Here Wee Grow Childcare & Preschool they made their own creepy carrots out of construction paper that looked just like the ones in the book!
Materials needed for this craft
To make your own creepy carrots you will need:
*Orange, black, white, and green construction paper
*White crepe paper
*Scissors
*Glue/gluestick
How to make your own creepy carrots
Follow these steps to make your own creepy carrots:
1. Use your scissors to cut a carrot shape out of the orange construction paper. This will be your carrot.
2. Use your scissors to cut two big circle out of the white construction paper, this will be the carrot's eyes.
3. Use your scissors to cut an oval shape, two small rectangles, and two very small circles out of the black construction paper, this will be the carrot's mouth, eyebrows, and pupils.
4. Use your scissors to cut a stem-shape (or multiple ones if wanted) out of the green construction paper, this will be your carrots stem.
5. Glue your mouth, eyes, eyebrows, and stem onto your carrot.
6. Glue the pupils onto the eyes.
7. Use your white crepe paper to glue little pieces in the carrot's mouth, these are his teeth.
8. Wait for the glue to dry and show everyone your creepy carrot!
Note: if you do not have white crepe paper you can cut small squares out of the white construction paper and use that for the teeth.
