Making Oobleck Activity for Kids
At Early Learning Center Inc they made Oobleck and then played with it! This blend of cornstarch and water is fascinatingly gooey and fun.
Materials needed to make Oobleck
Oobleck is a non-Newtonian fluid.
To make Oobleck you will need:
- 2 cups of cornstarch
- 1 cup of water
- A large bowl
- A mixing spoon/spatula
- Food coloring (optional)
How to make Oobleck
Follow these steps to create Oobleck:
- Pour your 2 cups of cornstarch into the bowl.
- Pour your 1 cup of water into the bowl.
- Begin mixing everything together--if you are using food dye slowly add it while mixing.
- Once everything is mixed start playing with your Oobleck and take pictures of the fun!
