My teacher is...
In this activity, my students form reporters for a day and have to produce some questions so they can get to know more about my personal life. Then I collected the questions and answered them. Then I asked them, through the answers, to make a production with the title: "My Teacher is". After a long time, I asked them to also write about what they think of the English teacher, which points they think are important to improve their learning.
In a third paragraph, I asked them to write about the following points: 1- Why was English important?
2 - What would they like to be learning in the English course during the year?
3- What do you think English classes should have to motivate them to learn.
The activity was very interesting, they asked a lot of questions about my personal life, so they could get to know more about the teacher.
In the productions I noticed that the students are very eager to learn English, because they really like this foreign language so present in their daily lives, during the class I noticed that they had a certain difficulty in expressing what they wanted to learn during the year, I also realized that students wanted to have knowledge about the 4 language skills. Some students reported that they would like to learn and listen in English, so that they could watch the series in English, others would like to write in English to be able to communicate with friends from other countries, others would like to speak a lot, to be able to sing international songs correctly and also talk to foreigners, and most reported that they really wanted to learn to read, so that they could understand the different types of texts written in English that they often encountered in everyday life.
