Painting on ice: Art Activity (Preschool)
We started off our winter themed week by painting on ice with water colors and watching the colors magically appear on the ice! The kids loved it.
After doing this, we also painted with ice. So, for a science experiment we used ice cube trays, popsicle sticks, and food coloring to make popsicles that we would later use for art. The kids helped make the awesome painting utensils and I took them home to freeze. The next day, I got them out and showed them what they made and how we can use them for art. They all got to pop out an ice cube they was colored and use it to paint on their blank papers! They loved seeing the color magically show up and mixing all of the colors together with the water as well. There were many colors to choose from and they were so excited to use something that they made!
