To do this activity you will need:
Toy animals (Dinosaurs could work too)White pieces of paperMarkersA sunny dayRocks or pebbles to hold the paper down if it is windy
How to Do the Shadow Tracing Activity
Follow these steps to do the activity:
First set-up the toy animals so that they cast a shadow in the sun.Lay white pieces of paper behind each animal and place rocks or pebbles if needed to hold the paper in place.Have students trace the shadows of the animals with their markers.After the students are done tracing have pick-up the papers and the activity is done!
