Shapes Creation
This is my 2 daughters Kindergarten 2 and Grade 3 students. We have our activity of making shapes using popsicle sticks. It was fun and they learned a lot! We made 2D shapes and 3D shapes. With the 3D shapes, we used clay and toothpick to create them. Teaching kindergarten with the difference of 2D and 3D was a bit tricky. At first, she was confused if it was 2D or 3D. Activities like this helped us a lot for them to fully differentiate things. Citing examples will help a lot too. From then, I decided that small kids such as my K2 daughter will learn more using actual activities rather than explaining what is written in books of just watching sample videos. A lot of play is needed too for them to enjoy while they are learning. I'm not a teacher that's why I'm trying different ways to teach my kids properly. I am hoping I can have some help with the worksheets and activities here on TeachersMag.com
