Thanksgiving Dinner Craft for Kids
At Precious People Learning Center in Palm Harbor, Florida this Thanksgiving dinner craft was very popular with the students! When it comes to Thanksgiving the biggest event of the holiday is the big and delicious dinner!
With that in mind, this craft simulates a Thanksgiving dinner with various pieces of craft paper and other crafting supplies!
How the Thanksgiving Dinner Craft Was Made
The children were told they would help make a Thanksgiving feast and handed a paper plate to get started with building their, "Meal." They cut-out various pieces of paper for the turkey and peas. Then, to make the mashed potatoes they tore apart several cotton balls with their fingers. Once the cotton looked and felt fluffy they glued their, "Mashed potatoes," onto the plate and added a piece of yellow construction paper to be the, "Butter."
It was a very fun craft and got the students excited for when they got to actually eat a big Thanksgiving dinner!
