Emotions can be a hard thing for children to understand. We get these big and overwhelming feelings that are difficult for little ones to put into words. This activity was designed with that challenged in mind, assisting preschoolers in understanding and expressing emotions via a fun activity with an emoting cartoon bear.
Emotions and Feelings
As part of our exploration of feelings this week, our classroom is set up with a Reggio provocation that encourages self expression and emotions using natural materials. This is an engaging and creative activity that helps young children identify feelings and encourages conversation through play.
Sometimes it can be hard for younger children to put a, “Label,” on their emotions and identify exactly how they feel.
