This is a fun fine motor activity idea that ties-in perfectly with Halloween! It was created by Sunshine and Rainbows Learning Center in Joliet, Illinois and involves matching colorful clothespins with the correct dot on a paper-spider’s body so that it can have all eight legs properly in place!
All of these activities and crafts incorporate a theme of spiders into them as either a part of or focus of the activity/craft. Spiders are fascinating creatures thanks to having unique bodies and because of how they are able to weave beautiful webs.
By using a spider theme it can really catch the attention of students and also works great around Halloween when spiders and other creepy-creatures are often focused on!
When it comes to spiders the things we often associate with them are their eight legs, eight eyes, and how many kinds of spiders love to weave webs! These Spider-themed crafts incorporate these elements of spiders via a fun headband as well as a, “Spiderweb,” made out of masking-tape.
This week at Beach Babies Learning Center, LLC we celebrated our Halloween and Fall Harvest theme!
