Halloween-Themed Mural Painting Activity
The Fall season is quickly approaching and many teachers are trying to think-up fun Halloween-themed activities. One great one is using, "Witches' brooms," made out of small tree branches to paint a mural as a group, which they did at Li'l Explorers Child Care & Preschools - Montana!
Materials needed to do a Halloween-themed mural painting
To do this mural painting you will need:
- Paint--acrylic or tempera works well
- Small tree branches from pine trees
- Large sheet of paper
- Tape (optional)
How to do a Halloween-themed mural painting
To make a Halloween-themed mural painting you need to do the following:
- Find small tree branches from pine trees with fine needles--witches' brooms!
- Gather an assortment of colors of paint.
- Lay-out a large piece of paper on the floor and/or wall, tape it as needed
- Begin dipping your witches' brooms in the paint and then spreading it on the paper.
- Continue painting as a group until done.
- Wait for the paint to dry and admire your mural!
