At Good Shepherd School they learned about ancient Egypt and how in that culture they would wrap-up their deceased and make them mummies! After learning about this the children wrapped their own mummies with paper mache!

How to do the paper mache mummy wrapping activity

To do this activity follow these steps:

1. First, take a doll or action figure.
2. Get a bucket/tub and fill it with water.
3. Take your paper mache and dip some in water.
4. Start wrapping your paper mache you've dipped in the water around your doll/action figure.
5. Fully wrap the doll/action figure and wait for the paper mache to dry. You've made a mummy!
6. When you want to get the doll out use a knife or sharp scissors to break the paper mache.
