Student response Worksheet - NOT a box
Not a Box is a children's book by Antoinette Portis.
It is graded for Newborn to 6 years old. It won a 2007 Theodor Seuss Geisel Award Honor and a 2008 Donna Norvell Award. This worksheet can be used in response to the story book "NOT a box" By Antoinette Portis.
The story is about a Bunny rabbit who has a box, but it is NOT a box because he uses his imagination to turn the box into many different items and scenarios, from a building on fire to a rocket ship going to space.
After reading the book with the students, you can give them this worksheet to draw a response to how they would use their imagination if given a box.
It can be used as individual pages, or can be used to create a class book with each child creating their own version of what the "box" would be used as or look like!
This is a great way to encourage your students to use their imagination, learn about shapes and colours.
