Teaching Shapes
We learnt shapes by making pizza together.Prepare the shapes before class: squares, triangles and circles etcDuring class, the students will then build their pizza with the prompting from the teacher. For instance, the round brown pizza bread is the circle base. The repetitions of the same words used to describe the shapes will then stick to them.Students can put as many different shaped toppings as they desire.The teacher then gives them a worksheet for counting the different shapes that they use for making the pizza.Our students enjoy making the craft while learning about shapes.Hope all your students will enjoy this activity as well
