This was a post office now Winter Wonder Land. We are doing a unit on places in our community/city and the people in them. For the dramatic play area, I turned it into a hot coco/ ice skating rink. The children will develop fine and gross motor skills by pretending to go ice skating, throwing "snowballs" into the snowman's bell, and working on their pincher ability while using thongs to pick up " marshmallows " to make their hot coco.
This experience will also help the students to work on peer relationships and language skills when they have to order their hot coco or by items to go ice skating.
