Zoo Theme for three year old classroom
I drew a almost four foot zoo entrance sign for my three year old classroom. I had the children stand in front of it to do a class picture I then had the children take zoo selfies with a zoo stuffed animal.
The children who have never been to the zoo really liked the sign and wanted to see if there were different ones at a real zoo. The children started their own discussion about the zoo and it was enlightening and very interesting to hear They wanted me to put some of their art work on the sign since we hang our art work not only in the classroom but in the hallway as well.
They really enjoyed it and my director took pictures wanting to put it in our school newsletters incorporated the sign into our daily learning by going back to the sign and asking them questions like what do you think a real zoo entrance sign looks like?
