101 Dalmatians for the 101st Day of School
At Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School in Layfayette, Louisana the first-grade class celebrated the 101st day of school!
To mark the occasion they did a theme related to the classic Disney movie, "101 Dalmatians." The kids dressed-up like dalmatians and then did fun math activities involve the number 100 and 101.
101st Day Activities
One activity was building a tower out of 100 cups, and another was everyone reading 5 books each in the class library so that the total number of books read by everyone when tallied-up would equal 100.
The students also made a 100-pattern creation of blocks, solved a mystery picture of 100 charts and made a cool creation with 100 marshmallows. Speaking of tasty items, they also created a gumball machine that contained 100 dot paint gumballs in addition to a 10-scoop cone that had multiples of ten. Lastly, they made a tasty trail mix with 10 goodies taken from each bowl. It was a very busy day and everyone in the first-grade class did an awesome job!
