After 37 years in kindergarten I have moved to teach a pre-k class. A lot is the same but a lot is new. With the pandemic alert my classroom is small. I have twelve face-to-face students. I also have three virtual learners (that's a new challenge for me). I am in a whole day pre-k situation and I have an aide with me full time. That's very different from my kinder experience as I had my kinders by myself.
I'm actually writing all this to get the free shapes game that was promised. You know teachers are all about freebies. There are alot of materials and manipulative in my classroom but I am always on the look out for items specific to the skills were are currently working on.
We are in our first week of instruction. I am focusing on colors, shapes, nursery rhymes and first letter of students' names. Of course language and vocabulary are also a part of the curriculum.
