Materials Needed to Make Your Own Green Eggs and Ham

To make your own green eggs and ham at home you need the following:

  • Enough eggs to feed everyone (about 2 per person)
  • Green food coloring/food dye
  • Enough slices of ham to feed everyone
  • A stovetop
  • A frying pan
  • A mixing bowl
  • A fork for mixing and scrambling the eggs
  • A knife for cutting the ham
  • Plates
  • Utensils for eating

How to Make Your Own Green Eggs and Ham

If you are making green eggs and ham you should follow these steps:

  1. Crack all of the eggs into your mixing bowl and throw away the shells.
  2. Mix the eggs with a folk until they are well blended.
  3. Begin adding green food dye, add a few drops at a time and stir until eggs are a rich green.
  4. Pour the egg mixture into a hot frying pan on the stovetop.
  5. Continuously stir and fluff the eggs so that they become scrambled.
  6. Once the eggs are scrambled distribute them on everyone's plates.
  7. If you want to sear the ham you can cook it on the stovetop too, or just warm it in a microwave.
  8. Once the ham is hot cut it up with a knife and distribute it across everyone's plates.
  9. Have everyone enjoy eating their green eggs and ham--feel free to make toast too or serve it with orange juice.
