Motor Skill Development Activity

At ABC Early Learning & Childcare Centre UK Ltd. located in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom they did a very fun motor skill development activity! The young children worked on using their fine motor skills to thread pieces of uncooked spaghetti throughout the cones they were given.

The students were very engaged in the activity and loved the challenge of using their coordination as well as their concentration skills to thread the spaghetti through the cones. Also, multiple cones were used which allowed the children to work in teams and try to fill each cone with as much spaghetti as they could, trying to, "Win,' as the team with the most spaghetti in their cone!

How to Do this Fine Motor Skill Development Activity

All you need for this activity is a large amount of uncooked spaghetti and little colander-style cones. Then you have your students thread the noodles through the cones and encourage them as they do it!
