Noah's Ark Mural

The class worked together to create a visual display of Noah's Ark on our classroom window. They made rain clouds by gluing on pom-poms on the correct circles, placed blue tissue paper on sticky contact paper to make stain glass raindrops, colored a boat cut out of butcher paper with crayons, and decorated a giant rainbow by gluing on foam shapes by color. When all the parts were completed (over a span of three days) I taped them up on the window to make a giant mural. You need very basic materials for this project: Butcher paper, tape, crayons, glue, pom-poms, scissors, colorful foam shapes, tissue paper, and contact paper. It ends up being a beautiful child-made work of art that helps the class visualize the lesson of Noah's Ark. You can also add more components to the mural, like by gluing on different animals and people onto Noah's boat.
