Backpack Activity
10 children participated in this activity to learn about "school supplies" in English. They are between the ages of 1 and 2. I drew a large backpack on a cardboard and colored it with crayons. I printed various school materials and covered them with transparent contact paper. Finally, I attached velcro to the backpack and the items. Each child had the opportunity to come and place the items on the backpack. We practiced pronunciation by saying the names of the school materials as they were placed in the backpack. In a fun way, they recognized the items and associated the image with the pronunciation.
