The dot book activity
For this activity we read the book "The dot" by Peter H. Reynolds. The story is a great example of how we are all capable of doing things, and it also talks about the importance of people believing in us.
Here is the link with the audiobook in case you don't have the printed version.
At the end of the story I asked kids to paint their own, unique dot. The materials needed were:
-Paper plate
-Paint-brush
-Different colored paint
Each one of them was told that they could paint their dot as they wished. That art was a form of expressing themselves and how they felt. Being different was also encouraged through the activity.
These are some of the class results:
Kids really seemed to enjoy the activity, and it is easy to do with kids from any age. I highly recommend this activity.
