Camping Theme Preschool Fun and Learning Activities
Preschool camping theme has consistently been a hit with the kids. This theme can be used almost any time throughout the year.
The preschool students in Temecula (Discovery Isle) have dove into the world of camping and the great outdoors!
The classroom was transformed to provide the children with fun and interactive ways of learning about nature, spending time out in the countryside and activities you can do there.
They have studied insects, used stargazing as a way to recognize letters, and went fishing to catch some numbers.
Camping Dramatic Play Theme
To begin the children made a campfire from paper and card and as a group, we toasted marshmallows and talked about nature around the fire. This was a great exercise to get the children working in a group and talking about what they knew and liked in the countryside.
The preschoolers worked together to create wonderful pictures of amazing scenery and with props, the children were encouraged to explore and discover outside.
Classroom Camping Unit
We then set up a tent together following instructions as a group, to enjoy a spot of fishing in our classroom river!
After this, we looked to the clear night's sky and took our preschoolers star gazing, which was a great end to our camping adventure.
