Chinese New Year 2021 craft (year of ox)
This is what we did during our online CNY celebration
For the preschool level, we made an ox by folding 4 red papers into a fan and stick them altogether. Then we decorate it with the nose from the pink paper, googly eyes, ears from red and pink paper, and horns from yellow paper. Lastly the kids will draw the mouth. Tara. it's so cute
For the kindergarten level, we made fire crackers which is very famous in China. We use red paper and cotton buds. First we dipped all the cotton buds into red, yellow, and orange paint. We also make tubes using red cardboard paper and paste gold ribbon on both edge sides of the tube. To make the fireworks look brighter, we use black cardboard paper as the background. We made 3 crackers then we paste the crackers on the black cardboard paper. Lastly, we asked the kids to arrange the cotton buds to make the fire effect. it was easy, fun, yet the results are damn good.
