Christmas Tree made from Plates by 3's,4's, and 5's
In our classroom, we had each student paint then collage a paper plate using random items to create a tree together! The students were so excited to see how everything turned out and how their work put together made something amazing! Collages are a good fine motor skill to keep the kids busy. They enjoy being able to freely put things wherever on their art work they choose. We do them often. We first painted the paper plates green and then we added some glitter to the paint before it dried. We allowed the paint to dry over night and then carefully glued on the collage materials. They could choose from stickers, feathers, buttons and other materials. We enjoyed getting messy with this project, as glitter will get everywhere! I explained to the children while we were making them that we would put all their art work together to make a class Christmas Tree!
