At GSL Early Childhood Family Education and School Readiness Preschool, they did a cool activity perfect for these hot Summer months. They melted some frozen ice with warm and colorful water!
How to do the colorful ice melting activity
To do this activity follow these steps:
Take a bowl of water and freeze it overnight.
The next day, dump the big piece of ice in a tray.
Take a cup/bowl of warm water and add food dye to it--the more colorful the better!
Use an eyedropper to suck-up the warm and colorful water, then release water onto the ice.
Watch as the ice becomes colorful and melts!
Repeat with multiple colors of warm water if wanted and then once done dump the water down a drain.
