Community Helper Week! Some ideas...
Hi there fellow educators and caregivers!
This week we had a fun time learning about community helpers in our classroom and I had this idea of making a community helper mask. The activity is super simple, the kids just have to paint beige/brown on a paper plate, cut out a community helper hat of their choice, then paste it at the top of the paper plate. Last, attach an ice cream stick at the bottom. And there you have a mask! Its a great activity for the kids to practice their cutting skills and painting is always a fun activity for kids!
For preparation, you just have to cut out holes in the paper plates, and print out the community helper hats printables. Feel free to email me at nursalinasaadon@gmail.com if you would like a copy of the PDF printables.
Thats all for this post, hope to have helped in your activity planning for this theme!
Cheers,
Teacher Salina
