Community Helpers!

Community Helpers!

My class theme this week is Community Helpers! For our craft and to throw in some extra number practice, helped a sick bear! W had a picture of a bear with a bunch of boo boos that had dots on them that corresponded with the number written on the bandaid! We learned about nurses and doctors, as well as emotions because the bear was sad that he was hurt. This was a very fun lesson for the kids, at my center I do feel like we are more focused on the alphabet rather than numbers, so it is always wonderful to sneak some extra counting practice in when we can! If you have older preschool kids in your class from 3-4 they will love this! Counting only went up to 10, and I will say if you have younger 3 year olds to help cut for sure because the band aids are small!
