Constructing Straw Polygons
My name is Leonardo and I teach Mathematics in Brazil, in Elementary SchoolIn the highlighted class, students were proposed to produce polygons using plastic straws.The activity was carried out in groups. Each group received a spreadsheet with a photograph of several polygons, which they should reproduce with straws and identify the name of the polygon and the number of edges and vertices.At the end of the activity, each group made a brief presentation of their constructions to the whole class.
