Dr. Seuss Themed Crafts about Thing One and Thing Two
In the famous Dr. Seuss book, "The Cat in the Hat," at one point in the story readers are introduced to the troublemaking characters Thing One and Thing Two.
These adorable little creatures often are beloved by children, and with that in mind Adventure Time Academy in New Albany, Indiana did some crafts themed for the Things as part of their Dr. Seuss-focused week!
Thing One and Thing Two Painting
One activity involved splashing paint upon a print-out of one of the Things and then blowing the paint with a straw to create the Thing's wild blue hair along with its red shirt. The children loved moving paint around with their breath!
Thing One and Thing Two Hats
Some of the students wanted to be Thing One and others wanted to be Thing Two. In order to help show who was their favorite, the kids made hats out of construction paper with blue strands coming off of them that looked just like the Things' hair! Then, the children glued-on a label about how they were either Thing One or Thing Two so that it was clear which was their favorite!
