Dream Catcher Crafting Activity for Preschool Students
At With Our Two Hands Preschool in Richmond, BC they made dream catchers out of paper plates and string. It was a very fun activity thanks to how there were unlimited possibilities when it came to decorating the dream catchers in unique and colorful ways.
The students learned how dream catchers help to, "Catch," bad dreams and allows us to only have good ones, so they were excited to hang them above their beds for a wonder night's sleep.
How the Class Crafted Their Dream Catchers
This open-ended art was a fantastic way to do tactile art and use fine motor skills. The class cut a large hole in the paper plate and added small little holes at various corners. Then they painted their paper plates all kinds of gorgeous colors. Lastly, they looped the string through the holes to make beautiful dream catcher designs. It was a wonderful activity!
