Feelings And Emotions
The first week of preschool will start with talking about feelings. the children will be able to use the feeling mat to express and discuss the feelings they are having when coming to school. They will use playdough to create faces. As well as dry erase markers to draw faces. The children can also use materials such as mirrors to look at themselves as they make faces showing the various emotions they may have before coming to school and upon arrival at school as well as when their parents leave them at school. We also will read the book The Kissing Hand. We will talk about the feelings that are read about in the bool and then we will make a graph showing how each student felt their first day of preschool. then we will compare how many people were happy or sad etc.
