Glass Beads Activities for Kids
At Robots and Mud Pies Preschool in Henrico, Virginia, the children had a fantastic time using glass beads throughout an exciting week!
Some students, "Traced," designs on paper with the glass beads and others created uniquely beautiful patterns. Here are some descriptions of wonderful activities you can do with glass beads.
Tracing
This is a simple activity to do in the classroom or with your own little ones at home! You just draw a design upon a piece of paper and then use glass beads (like the kind for sale at the dollar store). Then have the children, "Trace," the design with their beads
Counting
Put out an assortment of beads and instruct the children to count them. They can count the total number or how many there are of each color!
Patterns
Help the students make AB patterns with different-colored glass beads.
Anything Else You Can Think Of!
You can do any other fun activity ideas you can think of as well!
