Jackson Pollock-Inspired Class Activity
At Carriage House Children's Center, they did a fun group activity inspired by Jackson Pollock! They took turns splattering paint on a large paper canvas that was put into squirt bottles. It had everyone laughing and having a stellar time!
Materials needed for this activity
To do this paint-splattering activity you will need:
*Paint (tempera or acrylic works well)
*Squirt bottles like the kind used to dispense condiments
*A large piece of paper to use as a canvas
*Tape to hold the paper in place
How to do this Jackson Pollock-inspired activity
To do this activity you need to follow these steps:
1. Put one color of paint in each of the squirt bottles.
2. Tape the large piece of paper to the ground securely.
3. Have students take turns going one at a time and taking a single color squirting it upon the canvas.
4. When it is the first student's turn again have them use a new color.
5. Repeat turns until the paper is covered in squirts of paint.
6. Wait for the paint to dry and show everyone your class's creation
