Labor Day Activities to do with children ages 2+
In my class this past week we did an assortment of Labor Day activities. We made Labor Day coloring books, pictures frames with pictures of the kids dressed up as different careers and made foot vehicles. Then I created a personal vehicle box to put all their work in at the end of the week and included a toy car and candy. The kids really enjoyed these activities. The only suggestion that I’d give is make the boxes ahead of time because they take some time to make. With older kids you can have them help with making the boxes. I had planned to do red, white and blue tie dye hands but I ran out of time to do them. This was a fun activity for the kids and as added bonus for lesson activities I played Labor Day children songs and played Labor Day for children audiobooks. The coloring sheets in the books we made say things like “teachers help us learn” and “truck drivers bring us goods”
