Modeling clay with children
My students and I made homemade modeling clay, and it was a success! The children loved making and then playing with homemade modeling clay. In addition to simple ingredients, homemade playdough is easy and also avoids strong or unpleasant smells.
Dough ingredients:
2 glasses of wheat flour; ½ glass of salt; 1 glass of water; 1 teaspoon of oil; Food coloring.
Method of preparation:
Begin development by pouring the dry ingredients into a large bowl or bowl. Afterwards, add the water and stir.
Add the oil and mix a little more until it becomes a homogeneous mixture. The right point for the dough is when it is firm, neither sticky nor crumbly. If the dough is still sticking too much to your hands, add a little more wheat until it becomes consistent. But if it is crumbling and falling apart, add more water.
After the dough is ready, separate it into small portions to add the coloring. To color, just open the dough and add three drops of coloring and knead until the color is present throughout the dough. Do the process again with all the colors and that's it! Once ready, play with the children, the modeling clay will contribute to children's creativity, fine motor coordination and autonomy.
