preschool art theme - Mondriaan
We did a mondriaan inspired art-work with 3-year olds.
before the lesson, we cut some blue, red, yellow en black shapes.
After looking at paintings of Mondriaan with the preschoolers, the kids started working. They glued the shapes to the paper, by using a glue-stick.
the results are very diverse, some kids glued the squares next to each other, like a real Mondriaan. Others glued the shapes and created an overlap.
But the activity was not about creating the most alike, it was about the proces of looking at a painting and afterwards creating something you like with these shapes.
the children where all very exited!
